The Detroit Lions could be without several key contributors versus the Bears

The Darrell Bevell era as interim head coach of the Detroit Lions will kick off in the Windy City this Sunday against their divisional rivals, the 5-6 Chicago Bears. The Lions will attempt to do something they haven’t been able to do all year … that’s defeat an NFC North foe.

In order to get their fifth win of the season in Week 13, the 4-7 Lions will have to do so potentially missing several key contributors. On Friday, the team revealed its final injury report. And it had a total of 12 players make an appearance. That includes quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Still dealing with a thumb injury, Stafford once again was listed on the team’s final injury report. The veteran passer is considered questionable for the divisional matchup against the Bears. Stafford was limited all week at practice.

Also considered questionable for Sunday’s matchup in Chicago are running back D’Andre Swift (illness), defensive end Austin Bryant (thigh), and safety Tracy Walker (not injury related). If Swift does play on Sunday, expect his workload to be very limited after not practicing on either Thursday or Friday.

Three Lions’ players have been designated as out for the Week 13 matchup in Chicago. Those players are cornerback Jeff Okudah (shoulder), wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hip), and defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand (groin). This will mark Golladay’s fifth-straight missed game due to injury.

The rest of the players that appeared on the Detroit Lions’ final injury report included wide receiver Danny Amendola (hip), tight end Hunter Bryant (concussion), wide receiver Quintez Cephus (not injury related), cornerback Mike Ford (concussion), and linebacker Christian Jones (knee). Of this group, everyone but Jones was a full participant at Friday’s practice session as he was limited.
