Scouting Report. WR. Wisconsin. Quintez Cephus. 166. player. Pick Analysis. 50

2020 Statistics: 6 receptions for 97 yards

After starting for the Lions in weeks one and two, get ready to see a lot more of wideout Quintez Cephus. Superstar wide receiver Kenny Golladay is considered week to week with a hip injury and someone will have to step up.

Cephus’ story is in credible and if you haven’t watched his segment on NFL 360, I’d recommend that you do. Here is a link.

Best trait:  Route Running

Okudah said that Cephus was a “technician”.  What he means by that is despite lack of speed, he’s able to beat receivers by playing the game perfectly. Cephus’ route running has stood out in his only two starts this season, he’s been able to create separation at a nice rate.

Area of Improvement: Concentration

There was three drops by Cephus in his first career game, that could have been caused by rookie nerves. Also, at times we’ve seen his routes get thrown off with cornerbacks and linebackers playing physical. I wrote more about his first two games, which you can read here.
