Despite recently acquiring Griffen, the Lions could still use more help on the line on the defensive side of the ball. They could target another player on the Giants in defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson.

Tomlinson’s stats don’t necessarily stick out, just one sack recorded with 30 tackles (16 solo) but four of those have been for loss. Tomlinson can help stop the run which the Lions have struggled to do this season. Tomlinson has also deflected three passes this year.

One thing to the benefit of the Lions is that Tomlinson can come for cheap although they don’t posses a seventh round pick (Quandre Diggs trade 2019) or a sixth (used to acquire Griffen).

Tomlinson also won’t clog the cap too much as he’s only on the hook for $1.08 million.

Logan Ryan would be the better option and probably the preferred player if the Lions were to make a trade with the Giants but he would also cost more, both in regards to cap space and draft capital.
