Despite their record, the Detroit Lions have plenty of talented players on their roster. Here are three we believe could be first-time Pro Bowlers in 2020.

Coming off a 3-12-1 season, some fans of the Detroit Lions may not feel there’s much talent across the Motor City’s current roster. But they’d be wrong.

Although circumstances surrounding the team have led to back-to-back disappointing seasons under head coach Matt Patricia, the roster itself features many promising players. Even some potential Pro Bowlers.

Here are three players we believe could get the Pro Bowl nod in 2020 for the very first time.

Tracy Walker, S

I’ve been riding the Tracy Walker is special train for quite some time now. And the rest of the league might feel the same way following his third NFL season.

The 24-year old safety led the Lions in tackles in only his second season last year. If Walker can boost his turnover numbers, posting a single interception in 2019, perhaps the third-year defender can finally receive some national recognition for his excellent play.

Trey Flowers, DE

Although Trey Flowers is a two-time Super Bowl champion, he’s yet to be elected to a single Pro Bowl. That could change in 2020 if the 26-year old can have a breakout season in his second year in the Motor City.

Averaging 7.0 sacks per season over the past four years, if Flowers can reach double-digit sack totals in 2020 and prove he’s a dominant defensive force in the NFC, perhaps he’ll finally earn this honor. More importantly, that kind of defensive impact puts the Lions in better position to win.

Frank Ragnow, C

Now in his third-season with the Detroit Lions, the former 2018 first-round selection enters the new year as Detroit’s top offensive lineman. Receiving a near ten-point increase in overall score from Pro Football Focus between his first-and-second seasons, Frank Ragnow has a Pro Bowl trajectory in his sights if this trend continues in Year Three.
