2017

Round 1 Pick 46: Linebacker Jarrad Davis

Unfortunately, Jarrad Davis has never lived up to the hype. He’s been riddled with injuries, while at the same time struggled to play with any consistency. His time is running up to turn things around, the Lions haven’t made a decision on his fifth-year option.

Grade: D

Round 2 Pick 53: Cornerback Jalen Tabor

This isn’t a good look for Bob Quinn and company. Their fan base had it out for Jalen “Teez” Tabor from the start, mainly because of a terrible 40-yard dash time. He wasn’t able to catch on after his early struggles and it hurt this team at the cornerback position for the past few years.

Grade: F

Round 3 Pick 96: Wide Receiver Kenny Golladay

Probably Quinn’s best selection during his tenure. Another pick that received mixed reactions, but despite that, it worked out. Kenny Golladay is coming off back to back 1,000-yard seasons and is a rising superstar in this league.

Grade: A+

Round 4 Pick 124: Linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin

Much like Killebrew, Jalen Reeves-Maybin was another developmental linebacker. Former Detroit Tigers star Cameron Maybin’s cousin has been able to cement a role on this team. He is an excellent backup who can start in place of injured players. He also has tremendous special teams value.

Grade: B-

Round 4 Pick 127: Tight End Michael Roberts

Michael Roberts showed flashes during his time in Detroit, but he was never able to stick around. That time came to an end when the tight end was traded to the New England Patriots. The trade never went through, so the Lions eventually cut ties with him.

Grade: D

Round 5 Pick 165: Punt/Kick Returner Jamal Agnew

Detroit’s return specialist, Jamal Agnew, was a great pick for what his role was turned out to be. One of five players to have three punt return touchdowns and one kick off return since 1995. Good value for a fifth-round pick.

Grade: A-
