Round 3, 85th overall – Jason Strowbridge, DE North Carolina

Marked down as a need since the Lions failed to generate much of a pass rush all season long, the defensive end position is finally given some extra ammo with Strowbridge.

He’s got the length and agility that translates well at the next level and could be trouble for offenses lining up opposite of defensive end Trey Flowers.

Another reason Strowbridge should be on the Lions radar, he was coached by Detroit’s head coach Matt Patricia on the North Team in this year’s Senior Bowl.

He certainly helped his draft stock during the practices and game at that time. Certainly, Patricia took notice.

Round 4, 109th overall – Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR Liberty

In a wide receiver-rich draft, the Lions can afford to hold off until the fourth round to select Gandy-Golden, a 6-foot-4 receiver with double-digit touchdowns in each of his three past college seasons.

He bolsters the wide receiving corps on the Lions that already features Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and Marvin Hall.
