Landing spot #1: Las Vegas Raiders

No one really knows what’s exactly going on in Oakland … my bad, Las Vegas. But based off of their performance last season, it’s an understatement to say that they need some help.

The Raiders are willing to make any trades necessary to achieve any goal that they focus on. General manager, Mike Mayock, and head coach, Jon Gruden, spent a boatload of money last offseason to rebuild their defense.

Yet they still managed to finish 31st in Defense-adjusted Over Average (DVOA) in Football Outsiders.

Overall, their pass-defense ended up finishing 30th. To make matters worse, they don’t have any cornerback worth of high value on their roster.

There’s no identity for the Raiders defense at all. They did manage to get a fourth-round steal in Eastern Michigan defensive end, Maxx Crosby, in last year’s draft. But right now, improving the secondary has to be the priority.

Again like with Seattle, don’t be surprised to see Slay travel out west this offseason.

The front office for the Raiders isn’t afraid to take chances. We immediately saw that in the trading of outside linebacker, Khalil Mack.

While it was short-lived, the signing of wide receiver, Antonio Brown, was a sign that the Raiders will take any chances necessary to improve their team one way or another.
