Despite all the offseason focus being on the draft, here are five Detroit Lions players who might have already played their last game for the Motor City.

The Detroit Lions own the third overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. That’s the highest draft pick the Motor City has had since 2010. So it’s understandable why much of the offseason focus has been on the Lions’ upcoming draft, their possible selection at No. 3, and the potential trades that might be made because of it.

But the first question the Lions will have to answer this offseason will be about their own players. With several scheduled to become either unrestricted, restricted, or exclusive rights free agents next month, Detroit faces some tough decisions in the coming weeks.

One of those hard choices has apparently already been made with the Lions and All-Pro defensive tackle Damon Harrison reportedly mutually agreeing to part ways. The impending move will potentially free up $6.7 million, but still result in a $5 million salary-cap charge according to OverTheCap.com.

And Harrison is only the beginning when it comes to the tough choices the Lions will need to make in the coming weeks as the NFL free agency period officially begins Wednesday, March 18. But those roster choices are not limited to pending free agents alone.

This offseason has been full of talk about the futures of players who are under contract for 2020 as well. Stars like cornerback Darius Slay and quarterback Matthew Stafford have both had their names in the headlines recently about potential moves.

The current buzz around the Lions has been electric. And with some tough decisions ahead, we’ve try to compile a list of five players we believe might have already played their final game in Detroit. Let’s start with a Pro Bowl defender …
