How far away is this Detroit Lions roster from being Super?

Wide Receivers

KC – Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman, and Demarcus Robinson accounted for 2,520 receiving yards for 20 touchdowns.

SF – Emmanuel Sanders, Deebo Samuel, Kendrick Bourne, and Marquise Goodwin totaled 2,215 receiving yards for 14 touchdowns.

DET – Kenny GolladayMarvin JonesDanny Amendola, and Marvin Hall put up 2,908 receiving yards for 22 touchdowns.

Conclusion – The Lions wide receiving core was the strongest position group of the team in 2019, but both the Chiefs and 49ers have an attribute that Detroit doesn’t: elite speed.

Tight Ends

KC – Travis Kelce caught 97 passes for 1,229 yards and five touchdowns.

SF – George Kittle caught 85 passes for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns.

DET – T.J. Hockenson caught 32 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns.

Conclusion – One of these is not like the others. Lions fans everywhere need to hope and pray that T.J., who was the eight overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft develops into something resembling Kelce or Kittle. Please.
