Kamalei Correa

2019 team/salary: Tennessee Titans / $1.2 million

2019 stats: 16 games played, 5 starts, 5.0 sacks, 33 tackles, 6 tackles for loss

Age: 25

Height/Weight: 6-3 / 241

The only player on this list still currently playing in this year’s postseason, Correa has quietly become an important contributor for the Tennessee Titans’ defense. As such, he could see his price tag driven up, especially if he helps Tennessee reach this year’s Super Bowl.

Correa is a versatile player, and his size allows him to play both on the inside as well as flexing outside, where has been the most effective this year. He notched a career-high 5.0 sacks playing on an underrated Titans defense this season. He also registered one takedown of Baltimore Ravens’ star quarterback Lamar Jackson in his team’s shocking playoff victory over the NFL’s number one seed last week.

He probably would not be a three-down player in Detroit, and would likely be subbed out in two-linebacker sets. But he’s a high-energy player who never stops pursuing the ball. The Lions do currently have some of those kinds of players on the roster, but they have piloted a rather ineffective group. Correa could help alter that course.
