RB3: Ty Johnson

2019 Season: 14 games, 188 yards, 0 touchdowns

Question marks: ? (Just one, because seriously, what did you expect from the rookie 6th rounder?)

The positive with Johnson No. 2 is that he’s at least been able to stay healthy, getting snaps in every game and carries in all but two. As far as his modest production goes, I feel like he’s exactly as advertised.

I think some of the people who saw him in training camp and tried to project him into something else were operating more out of wishful thinking than anything else (and yes, I did the same for Travis Fulgham).

The truth is that Johnson is playing exactly how you should expect from a rookie sixth round pick.

Seeing the lengths the team has gone to keep him out of a starting role (see some of the names on the next page) unfortunately says a lot about his perceived ceiling as an NFL running back.
