RB2: C.J. Anderson

2019 Season: 2 games, 43 yards, 0 touchdowns

Question marks: ?? (Two, to match the number of games Anderson lasted in Detroit. What the heck happened there??)

On paper, Anderson seemed like an ideal complementary piece next to Kerryon in the backfield.

After a big finish to 2018 with the Rams, he was supposed to move the chains in short yardage situations and help keep Johnson fresh throughout the grind of the season.

For the second straight year (last year it was LeGarrette Blount), the Lions swung and missed in free agency in this department. Just two games and 2.7 yards per carry later, C.J. was out in Detroit.

The only consolation is at least he didn’t get picked up by the Titans or someone like that and rattle off a 1,000 yard season.
