The Detroit Lions will attempt to turn around their season following two divisional losses. Now they’ll take on the 2-5 Giants this Sunday.
The Detroit Lions are a resilient team. Although that might be hard to discern based on their 2-3-1 record and the fact the team is currently in the basement of the NFC North division. Week Eight is certainly a pivotal point in the Motor City’s season.
Detroit will face off against the 2-5 New York Giants this Sunday along with a familiar face. Last season, Detroit traded longtime wide receiver Golden Tate to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2019 third-round selection. That pick was used in a trade to draft Boston College safety Will Harris. While the 31-year old Tate signed a four-year, $37.5 million deal to join the Giants in the offseason.
Ironically, Harris is expected to get the first start of his NFL career against the G-Men after Detroit traded away starting safety Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks this week, opening the door for the rookie.
That means Will Harris is likely to be in coverage of Golden Tate at some point this Sunday, the player whose exit last year from Motown ultimately enabled the Lions to draft him in April.
