The Detroit Lions will face off against the Minnesota Viking this Sunday. But they’ll do so with several key players either out or questionable.

The Detroit Lions will head back to Ford Field this Sunday after a controversial 23-22 loss to a division opponent, the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, on Monday Night Football. In Week Seven, the divisional matchups continue, this time against the Minnesota Vikings.

The 4-2 Vikings currently sit second in the NFC North standings behind the 5-1 Packers. The 3-2 Chicago Bears are third with the 2-2-1 Lions bringing up the rear in the toughest and most competitive division in the NFL.

With the standings being so tight, this is a pivotal matchup for Detroit. Unfortunately, the Lions will enter the NFC North contest with several key players either out or questionable according to the team’s final injury report that was released on Friday.

There were five Lions’ players listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Vikings at Ford Field. Those names include cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring), right tackle Ricky Wagner (knee), fullback Nick Bawden (back), defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand (elbow), and safety Quandre Diggs (hamstring).

All of the above players were limited throughout the Lions’ practice sessions this week. Both Hand and Wagner were full participants during Friday’s practice, which is a positive sign.

Both defensive tackle Mike Daniels and rookie cornerback Amani Oruwariye (knee) were officially listed as being ruled out against Minnesota in Week Seven. The Pro Bowler Daniels, who was a free agent signing this summer, has been only able to play a total of three games for Detroit so far this season and has recorded just two tackles as he’s been hindered by a foot injury.

Finally, quarterback Matthew Stafford (hip), defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson (knee), and tight end Logan Thomas (shoulder) also appeared on the Detroit Lions’ final injury report. But all three appear to be ready to go for Sunday with Stafford being a full participant throughout the entire week. Robinson and Thomas were both full participants during Thursday and Friday’s practice sessions after being limited in Wednesday’s walk-through.
