As the NFL trade deadline nears, this is the perfect time for the Detroit Lions to make an impactful move. Here are five trades we’d love to see.
After the Detroit Lions nearly pulled the upset victory over the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, you have to believe the 2-1-1 Pride have the talent to make the playoffs this season. Unfortunately, key injuries and a lack of depth allowed the Chiefs to sneak away with a last-minute victory.
The Lions may truly be one talented player away from being a playoff contender. If so, Detroit might consider making an impactful roster move before the NFL’s October 29th trade deadline. Just last year a midseason trade for All-Pro defensive tackle Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison changed the fortune for the Lions’ defense. Who says a similar trade couldn’t boost Detroit to their first playoff victory since 1992?
Before we dive into some names that we’d love to see the Lions trade for, one caveat. Please understand that this list based on pure speculation. In some cases, these players are rumored to be available or on the trading block. Others would simply make sense in Detroit. Either way, this is an exercise in ‘what ifs’ and not to be considered anything but entertainment.
