#3 – Jason Hanson, Kicker

Jason Hanson played his entire NFL career for the Lions. Hanson played from 1992-2012. It’s not often that kickers are brought up in articles about football legends, but Hanson surely deserves it. He is a true football legend.

Hanson successfully made 495 field goals out of his 601 attempts which gives him an astonishing 82.4 made field goal percentage. He was also a very reliable point after kicker.

Out of 673 extra-point attempts, Hanson drained 665 of them throughout his 21-year career. This puts his extra point made percentage at an incredible 98.8 percent.

Jason Hanson is the Detroit Lions all-time leading scorer with 2,150 points. He was as reliable as reliable comes too! I find it odd that Hanson is never mentioned when Lions legends are brought to the light, so here he is, shining in all his glory.
