Wide receivers, tight ends

Another issue that seems to be affecting the team is the health of a  wideout Marvin Jones, Jr. who is out with an undisclosed injury and did not travel with the team to Houston. We have no clue if it is an injury that will linger or clear up prior to the regular season. Most of us hope that it is more precautionary than anything else.

Already without Jermaine Kearse due to his leg, Jones, and Danny Amendola, the Detroit Lions slot player, is also sitting out of practice for the time being. That has left Chris Lacy as the second wide receiver and he has been making some plays.

Tight end T.J. Hockenson was checked for an eye issue, it was believed that he got poked during a drill yesterday; he returned to the field and tight end Isaac Nauta was running with the starters while Hockenson was recovering.

So, although we aren’t in the best of health along the lines and at a couple of key spots, we ought to see some guys asserting their place on the final roster. Hopefully, players like Mike Daniels, Damon Harrison, Marvin Jones, Jr., Tom Savage, and Danny Amendola will be ready prior to the Week One game against rookie quarterback Kyler Murray.

What do you hope to see Saturday out of the team? Do you think that Matthew Stafford should play or would you prefer that he rest and be saved for the third preseason tune-up game? Let us know in the comments!
