Given the choice, would you trade the offseason moves of the Detroit Lions for those of the suddenly trendy Cleveland Browns?

I personally feel that all things considered, the Detroit Lions did a solid job for themselves during free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft. At the very least, I feel better about this year’s moves than going into any of the past three seasons.

Glancing over the neighbors’ fence for a minute though, there’s definitely a part of me that would rather have what the Browns got.

The Cleveland Browns made several high-risk, high-reward moves during this offseason, catapulting themselves back to the forefront of NFL relevance. On the other hand, the Lions made several solid but safe moves that will likely add at least a win or two to the final tally.

For three of the Browns’ biggest transactions, Kareem Hunt, Odell Beckham Jr., and Greedy Williams, one can make a strong argument that it would have made a lot of sense for the Lions to make those exact moves.

So what do you think? Are you satisfied with the Lions’ haul, or is the grass really Browner on the other side of the Midwest?

Here’s a closer look at those three moves, and what the Lions are missing out on, for better or for worse, by heading in a different direction for each of them.
