With the 31st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select…

Pick Analysis. 31. 51. Scouting Report. Cornerback. Georgia. Deandre Baker. player

After slipping due to surprising character concerns and poor pre-draft interviews, Baker finally sees his name called at the very end of round one. Baker is one of the most talented corners in football and instantly gives the Rams a shut-down corner. Baker can compete with any kind of receivers from big, strong types to fast, shifty and small types.

Baker has not allowed a touchdown in the past two years and that has come against the likes of Calvin Ridley, Emmanuel Hall, Deebo Samuel, and Jerry Jeudy, among others. As long as Baker can get over his “character concerns” he has the potential to be the best corner in the draft and an all-pro one day.
