With the 26th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select…

player. Scouting Report. Clemson. Christian Wilkins. Defensive Tackle. 26. 46. Pick Analysis

The Colts get a top three defensive tackle in the draft late in the first round and resolve a big problem for the team. Wilkins is a strong defensive tackle that is a force to be reckoned with. He is a big guy that won’t be moved easily and could anchor the defensive line for the Colts.

Wilkins would eat up blocks and would free up rookie sensation linebacker Darius Leonard to make even more plays on ball carriers. Wilkins could also stay on the field for pass situations as he can rush the passer fairly well too for a interior defensive lineman. Grabbing an immediate contributor who can provide an impact on all three downs this late in the first round at such a big positional need is a win for the Colts.
