With the 18th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select…

Scouting Report. Cody Ford. player. Pick Analysis. Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. 18. 60

The Vikings’ offense really needs an offensive line and the lack of quality players along the line right now is easy to see when watching the games. They could use help on both the interior and exterior, which is why Ford is such a great pick here.

Ford can play either guard or tackle along the offensive line for the Vikings and that versatility makes him worth the pick here. Ford is a strong and powerful lineman that will be suited for paving the way for running back Dalvin Cook and protecting quarterback Kirk Cousins. Ford’s physicality will be a plus in a division that features the likes of Mike Daniels, Damon Harrison, and Trey Flowers. This would be one of the best scenarios for the Vikings.
