Shaquil Barrett

Age/Experience: 26, 5 years
Height/Weight: 6-2, 250
2018 Base Salary: $2,914,000
2018 Statistics: 13 games, 3.0 sacks, 6 tackles for loss

Another Denver Bronco, Barrett has had a hot and cold run in the Mile High City since going undrafted in 2014.

Barrett has primarily been an edge player in the NFL, and like current Lion Devon Kennard, could be used in the Lions defense as a “Jack” linebacker – playing outside in odd-man fronts and occasionally shifting up to the line of scrimmage in a multiple defense such as the Lions’.

This would give defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni some more options in the Lions search for a versatile pass rush. Barrett maxed out with 5.5 sacks in his first season on the Broncos 53-man roster, but a fresh start could be a smart move for him and for the Lions.
