Matt Patricia Moments

Best: Challenge flag launch vs Pats

I wish the video in the link above had a different angle to show just how great of a challenge flag this was.

After a replay on the video board showed Kenny Golladay break the plane of the end zone after being marked short, Patricia ran onto the field and must have hurled that red flag at least 40 yards. That’s the farthest I’ve ever seen one of those things thrown.

It’s hardly the point, but he won the challenge also. Golladay’s touchdown put the Lions up by ten. Patricia could do no wrong that night.

Worst: “Respect the process” rant vs the Detroit media

Here’s the short list of what Matt Patricia needs to do before he’s allowed to publicly chastise a team partner for their appearance and professionalism:

  • Shave
  • Lose a minimum of 125 pounds
  • Show up on time to meetings (ones that presumably he schedules)
  • Win some games
  • Be his own person, rather than Bill Belichick version 0.2
