Why re-sign him: Ellington was signed by the Lions last November and promptly had a three-game streak recording six catches or more per contest. A hamstring injury limited him to only four games total. But during that short span, the fifth-year receiver looked like a possible successor for Golden Tate. His low price tag makes it a no-brainer to bring him back to compete for a bigger role in 2019.
