Round Three, Pick 24- Isaac Nauta, Tight End, Georgia

Nauta is a physically gifted player who was not used nearly enough by Georgia. Nauta has shown that he has strong hands and can make plays when he gets a chance with the ball. He has good size and his speed for his size is impressive as well.

He has shown the ability to improvise as well, specifically when he picked up a Jake Fromm fumble early this season and took it to the house. He also showed good speed then too, going from a standstill to full speed for a touchdown from about 20-30 yards out.

Nauta would give the Lions a good tight end that is solid in all aspects of the game from run blocking to catching the football.

Round Three, Pick 25- Dalton Risner, Offensive Guard, Kansas State

Risner is a strong, gifted lineman who wins with strength and technique. He is a better run blocker than pass blocker, but that will probably be fine considering the way the offensive philosophy is changing to run first.

The Draft Network’s Jon Ledyard writes this about Risner;

"“In the run game, he brings power and technique, while also being able to get out in space and make high degree of difficulty blocks on a per game basis… Versatility, smarts, communication ability and pro-ready technique will be strong selling points.”"

Others Considered in Round Three: Darius Slayton WR AUB, Anthony Johnson WR BUFF, Chris Lindstrom OG BC, TJ Edwards LB WIS
