FOLLOWING A PROJECTED TRADE: Lions give 2.11; Lions receive 2.26, 3.25, and 4.26*

Round Two, Pick 26- Amani Oruwariye, Cornerback, Penn State

The Lions were not very good against the pass this year and a big reason for that was due to a lack of play makers at cornerback.

The Lions only had one good corner in Darius Slay, but even he had a bit of a down year for his standards.

Oruwariye would give the Lions another talented playmaker at corner who could stick to receivers and potentially give the Lions two shut down corners.

He has an impressive combination of height, length, size, and speed; and can also regularly make plays on the football.

The Draft Network’s Joe Marino writes:

"Complementing his impressive stature is a trust for his technique and outstanding processing skills… making him a scheme-versatile defender. Oruwariye has the upside to start early in his career on the boundary and emerge as a productive playmaker with his ability to make game-changing plays on the football.”"

Others Considered: Riley Ridley WR UGA, Kaden Smith TE Stanford, Michael Dieter OG WIS
