Detroit Lions: East-West Shrine showcases NFL draft talent, Senior Bowl

Terry Godwin II, WR, Georgia, 5-11, 185, 4.42*

Godwin is a late-round option that has intriguing size and speed.

Watching him play, you can see the run-after-catch ability that made Godwin a five-star prospect coming out of high school.

He has 1,800 yards in his career as a bulldog.

After the loss of Golden Tate, another shifty smaller receiver, Godwin would be able to play the slot and take the top off of just about any defense with his speed and playmaking ability.

General manager Bob Quinn spoke of “adding playmakers” this offseason and Godwin definitely has that background.

Jeff Risdon, a writer for Lionswire, stated that he confirmed meetings had taken place with a list of players in Florida for the Shrine game.

Outside linebacker-edge player, Malik Carney, from North Carolina and Joshua Miles, a guard from Morgan State were the two that were singled out due to the Lions interest.
