Detroit Lions All-QB mock draft, 7 rounds to find the future
Detroit Lions Round 4
Ryan Finley, QB, North Carolina St., 6-3, 212, 4.80
Ryan Finley is another player who is draftable and ranked in the top ten among eligible prospects.
Finley amassed over 10,000 yards at NC State after leaving Boise State (10,362). His 59 touchdowns to 23 picks, combined with his 64.6% completion rate show that he can play. Finley is another guy who could easily go later or maybe even a little earlier depending on the postseason and draft process.
Finley has 38 starts in the ACC, which is a better level of competition than the Mountain West Conference that he started in. That bodes well for him, although the ACC is considered to be less competitive than the SEC or B1G among Power-5 conferences. His 2018 showing at Clemson was particularly poor, he threw for less than 200 yards and threw two interceptions and no scores.
Many draft prospects will have to answer tough questions about poor games against good competition during the draft process.
