Lions at Packers: Game time, stream, channel, more info
In their final game of 2018, the Detroit Lions will travel to chilly Lambeau Field to finish off their regular season against the Green Bay Packers.
Although the Detroit Lions will end 2018 with a losing record and without a playoff bid, that doesn’t mean their final game of the season is meaningless. In a battle against their divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers, the Lions’ place in the 2019 NFL Draft will be determined.
If the Lions lose against the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday, they could guarantee themselves a top-five selection in the upcoming draft. With a little help from some other NFL teams in Week 17, that pick could rise all the way to the second overall selection. With a win over Green Bay, however, the furthest Detroit could fall in the first round would be 10th overall.
As for the Packers, with a record of 6-8-1, Green Bay has already been eliminated from the playoffs. And although they may also benefit from a loss against the Lions, the Packers have an interim head coach in Joe Philbin who is undoubtedly hoping to secure the full-time gig. And winning three of the Packers’ last four games would certainly be a confidence booster.
