After posting a poor performance in a 28-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Detroit Lions now have to deal with the fallout of overreaction Monday.
Coming off a big road win over the Miami Dolphins in Week Seven, the Detroit Lions seemed like one of the up and coming teams in the NFL this season. Yet, after losing to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Lions suddenly find themselves at the bottom of NFC North standings and fans are jumping ship.
Welcome to overreaction Monday!! And prepare yourselves for the term “Same Old Lions” to be said over and over again in describing the debacle that is the Motor City following this most recent loss. Let’s dive into the despair in today’s addition of headlines.
Loss to Seattle shows how far Detroit Lions must go to contend – ESPN.com
The most frustrating thing about this recent loss is the fact we know this is a talented roster in Detroit. And we’ve seen them playing much better football as of late. Inside the locker room: The Lions spent the past week on cruise control – MLive.com
The above is never good to hear coming out of a locker room. Sipping their own Kool-Aid is a recipe for disaster. Plus, the Lions shouldn’t have much Kool-Aid to drink as sitting at 3-3 before the loss to Seattle isn’t exactly being world-beaters. The win over the Dolphins was impressive, and the Lions should feel good about what they accomplished against the New England Patroits and the Green Bay Packers. But they still have so much to prove. There’s no time for cruise control.
