Lions vs. Patriots: Game time, stream, channel and more
The Detroit Lions will try to get their first win of the season, welcoming the New England Patriots to Ford Field on Sunday Night Football.
Sunday night’s primetime matchup between the Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots is the first time new head coach Matt Patricia will face off against his previous team. Yet, the contest comes just three games into Patricia’s tenure in Detroit. And so far, there has been little evidence of his impact.
After suffering an embarrassing 48-17 home-opening loss on Monday Night Football to the upstart New York Jets in Week One, the Lions performed much better last Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Yet, Detroit is still winless going into Week Three.
This matchup seems a tad early in the Patricia era in Motown as the Lions are still trying to learn his complicated, multiple defensive scheme. And despite showing some signs in the second half of their Niners matchup last weekend, they are far from where they need to be in order to truly match wits with the Patriots. Yet, a Lions’ victory over the Pats in primetime could turn the tide for Detroit.
