Detroit Lions at Buccaneers: Preseason game time, stream, channel and more

The Detroit Lions head to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Motor City’s biggest preseason matchup of the year on Friday night.

Having lost both of their prior exhibitions, the Detroit Lions will head to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday night in their most important game of the preseason. Traditionally, NFL teams will play their starters for as much as a two quarters (one half) in their third preseason contest in preparation for the upcoming regular season.

For the Lions, questions still surround the performance of this defensive unit led by former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, the now Lions first-year head coach. How quickly they are able to successfully implement his multiple defensive scheme, the quicker they can come to the aid of one of the best passing offenses in the NFL.

On Friday night, we should get our best long look at each of the Lions’ first-teamers on both sides of the ball. Detroit’s play against the Bucs should tell us plenty about the upcoming season.
