The Detroit Lions are entering their second preseason game. What do we need to see out of the team to make it a perfect game? Read on.

Football has returned, Detroit Lions fans. The first preseason game did not deliver all of the things we hoped for in Week 1One. However, Friday night at 7 p.m. ET, offers a reboot of expectations for the Lions’ faithful.

After the largely underwhelming performance versus the Oakland Raiders, what would you like to see against the New York football Giants? Kick in the Crotch Weekly will delve into the topic prior to game two.

Detroit Lions quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford, the Lions stellar starter, did not play in Week One. Behind him, neither Jake Rudock nor Matt Cassel looked very good holding the reins to the number seven offense from 2017.

I would assume that we will see Stafford soon, but not for significant periods of time.

For whatever time he does play, hopefully, he will add the big pass play back into the offense upon his return.

In his absence, Rudock and Cassel need to look more dynamic.

The backup job, specifically whether or not either guy should be our number two, has been a hot topic among fans. Neither quarterback threw for 100 yards or any touchdowns last week.

The idea that the Detroit Lions have no legitimate backup is not sitting well with fans who have playoff victories on their minds.

Someone has to step up behind Stafford. If they do not, we could see a move or two behind the starter.
