ANSWER: Chicago Bears
A terribly lackluster showing at Soldier Field in 2016 is the only thing stopping the Lions from having a ten game winning streak against Chicago.
The Packers remain the one division rival that the Lions just can’t seem to get over the hump against, although that may also be changing. In 2015, a 1-7 Lions team went into Lambeau Field and ended a winless drought in Wisconsin of over 20 years.
They would have swept the season series if not for a suspect face mask call and ensuing Hail Mary. Last year, the Lions finally took both games from Green Bay (although with Aaron Rodgers sidelined).
As it stands, the Lions are 6-10 vs the Pack since 2010. This includes the two losses on the final day of the regular season, both which prevented an NFC North championship for Detroit.
After going 2-18 against Minnesota in the 2000s, the Honolulus have turned the tables for a 9-7 record. In 2017, the Lions played arguably their most impressive game of the year against the Vikings on the road.
The defense was stifling, and the Lions clawed to a 14-7 win. Even though the Vikings ran away with the division title and remain heavy favorites in the NFC North in 2018, it’s fair to expect the Lions to remain competitive with them.
Even better, they’ve gone 10-6 over Chicago during the decade, including nine wins in the past ten games. During the 2000s, the thought of the Lions flat out owning even the practice squad of a division rival would have been comical. However, as Stafford and Co. have slowly developed into a borderline playoff competitor in most years, the Bears are now crashing on a couch in the basement of the division.
Question #3. Which of these NFL teams has NOT played a home game at Ford Field in the past decade?
(a) Detroit Lions
(b) Chicago Bears
(c) Minnesota Vikings
