If the Lions have one player who might be considered trade bait, it’s former second round pick Ameer Abdullah. A hot name in the 2015 NFL Draft, Abdullah’s attractiveness as a prospect has certainly cooled following three seasons full of injury and inconsistency. Still, the 24-year old running back has shown flashed of potential and could thrive under the right conditions.

Plus, Abdullah is in the final year of a very team-friendly contract. If the Lions opt to draft a running back high in the upcoming draft, like many believe they will, it likely seals Ameer’s fate in the Motor City and makes him a candidate for a trade. With only six picks going into the 2018 draft, the Lions would undoubtedly love to have more draft ammunition.

The above story connects the dots for fantasy football lovers by connecting the Lions with LSU running back Derrius Guice. Seen by most as the second best runner in this draft class, Guice would have to be Detroit’s first round pick to make this happen.
