Should the Detroit Lions draft an offensive lineman in round one?

Bradford goes #1

What needs to happen

For this scenario to play out, a few things have to happen. The more quarterbacks that go, the better. If five go before the #20 pick, obviously that means only fourteen other players will have been selected. Assuming that we can peg most of those, which I believe is pretty reasonable, we can have a very good idea of who will be there.

Here’s my list of who’s gone prior to twenty:

More from SideLion Report

Non-Quarterbacks (8)

Bradley Chubb, DE
Saquon Barkley, RB
Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/S
Denzel Ward, CB
Quenton Nelson, G
Tremaine Edmunds, OLB
Derwin James, SS
Roquan Smith, ILB

Quarterbacks (4)

Sam Darnold
Josh Allen
Josh Rosen
Baker Mayfield

That is twelve prospects that will almost surely be gone before pick twenty. Click the next pages to see who the Lions options will be and why I believe that an offensive lineman may help most.
