Just more than two weeks are left until the 2018 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions have their work cut out for them, but they are set up to succeed.

As April 26th draws near, the Detroit Lions have a plan of attack in the NFL Draft. They know who they like and they know they’re isn’t much pressure to take a certain player or position.

Ultimately, the goal is to trade down somewhere in the draft, hopefully the first round. As it stands at this very moment, the Lions have just a few holes to fill and some depth is needed too.

Without any trades, I’ve concocted a mock draft that has the Lions back in the NFC North championship race discussion. Defensive tackle, guard/center and defensive end are the easiest positions of need recognize, the tricky part is how Detroit will draft beyond that.

Let’s start with the Lions first round selection …
