Fifth Round, 155th Overall Selection

Tyquan Lewis, Defensive End, Ohio State

Lewis would bring a good level of physicality and positional versatility to Detroit from his Buckeye days.

Stopping the run and getting to the quarterback are the two main tenets of playing on the defensive line.

Playing aggressive and with physicality go into it as well.

Even if you can’t get to the quarterback each time, making your presence felt physically can still favorably impact the defense.

Tyquan Lewis has no troubles with making his presence known while he’s on the field.

Though primarily used as a rusher, he can also slide inside and serve as a capable run-stuffer.

He needs a bit more coaching in order to truly shine at the next level.

Luckily for him, Patricia is well known for the magic that he works with his defensive players.
