30. . NEW YORK JETS (5-11). . Baker Mayfield, QB - Oklahoma. 6. player

There are a lot of ways this pick could go. As with many teams, an unsettled quarterback situation is difficult to overlook. Baker Mayfield has a big personality, is very talented, but also has some issues, too. Mayfield is 6′ 3/8″, and has times where he looks like Drew Brees. Mayfield is a good athlete, able to make some plays with his feet and has adequate arm strength. The Oklahoma quarterback has a gunslinger mentality, and a fiery, competitive streak.

Mayfield also has times where he comes off more immature, like former fellow Heisman winning quarterback, Johnny Manziel. Mayfield is a boom or bust prospect. Often, though, Mayfield looks the part of a first round, Top 10 player.

The Jets could use offense: Calvin Ridley, wide receiver, and Connor Williams, tackle, could go here if Mayfield is unable to convince the Jets to draft him here. The Jets have drafted quarterbacks in 2015 and 2016, but neither Bryce Petty (4th Round), nor Christian Hackenberg (2nd Round), respectively, appear ready to take the reigns.
