With the Detroit Lions scheduled to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, here are three Lions rookies we believe you should watch.

The Week 17 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers should allow for some extra opportunities for their younger players to shine. Although neither team is vying for a spot in the playoffs anymore, ending the year on a positive note is better than the alternative.

If you decide to tune in to the Motor City’s final game of the regular season, here are three Lions rookies we believe will be worth watching on Sunday afternoon.

Tion Green, Running Back

The bruiser back should get plenty of chances to shine in the Lions’ final game of the season. Detroit simply has nothing to lose letting the rookie running back loose against the Packers’ defense. For the past month, Green has arguably the team’s most effective ground gainer. Now’s the time to see if he can successfully carry the bulk of the workload.

Teez Tabor, Cornerback

Looking like one of the most forgettable second round selections in recent memory, the Lions warned us they were going to take their time bringing Tabor along. And they have certainly done that. But the rookie defender has seen a tremendous increase in snaps the last three games. Expect that trend to continue against a lackluster Packers’ passing attack.

Kenny Golladay, Wide Receiver

The Lions exciting rookie receiver exploded for two touchdowns in his preseason debut. And in his first regular season game, bam! Two more scores. But ever since then, nothing. Golladay’s production has risen in the past two weeks. With an opportunity to end his first year on a high note, I expect the third round selection out of Northern Illinois to step up to the moment like he did in Week One.
