In a pivotal NFC North divisional matchup, the Detroit Lions will welcome the Chicago Bears into Ford Field for a rare Saturday afternoon contest.

The 7-6 Detroit Lions will face the 4-9 Chicago Bears in a rare Saturday game in an attempt to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in Week 15. The Lions will need to win their remaining three games in order to have a chance at a Wild Card bid in the postseason.

Detroit’s 24-21 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend stopped a two-game losing streak for the Lions. After their divisional matchup against the Bears, the Motor City will travel to Ohio to face the struggling Cincinnati Bengals.

Then, Detroit will presumably have to face a fresh Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, as the Lions will play their NFC North foes in the final game of the regular season, possibly for a chance to move on to the playoffs.

Prior to the Bears’ 33-7 victory over the Bengals last week, Chicago had lost a whopping five games straight including a 27-24 loss to the Lions back in Week 11. The Windy City has already been eliminated from playoff contention and is playing simply for pride at this point.
