The Detroit Lions face the biggest test of their regular season so far, a titan NFC North matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving.
Thursday, November 23rd will be a special day for several reasons. Not only is it Thanksgiving day in the United States, but it’s also a wonderful time for football. For Detroit Lions fans, this holiday is extra sweet. And we’re not just talking about the Pumpkin Pie!
At times, past Thanksgiving day games have been somewhat lackluster, a lone bright spot in what becomes yet another downward trending season in Detroit. But not this year! The 6-4 Lions are surging off a three-game winning streak and they have a chance to make up significant ground in the NFC North.

The Lions will go up against the division’s current leader, the 8-2 Minnesota Vikings. With a win, Detroit could get that much closer to winning the divisional title and securing their third postseason appearance in four years.
It will be a tall task for the Lions as the Vikings themselves are on a six-game winning streak. But their last loss was to Detroit in Minnesota back in Week Four, so the Lions have to feel very optimistic heading into this exciting and pivotal holiday matchup.
