My Reaction

I read a funny tweet about the struggling left tackles during the Monday Night Football game. It reminds me about the status of both teams, and their relative roster issues.

Me, I’m torn. I thought we looked good, other than in a few spots**COUGH**left tackle**COUGH**. I am also concerned about the injuries: Travis Swanson, starting center, hasn’t practiced for two days straight as of this article, and Jarrad Davis, starting middle linebacker, is in concussion protocol. Taylor Decker, the injured, second-year left tackle, is not healthy.

The Atlanta Falcons are the reigning NFC champions and are coming off of a great game against the team that won our division last year, the Green Bay Packers.

On the other hand, receivers Kenny Golladay, Eric Ebron, Golden Tate, Marvin Jones, and running back Ameer Abdullah have all taken turns shining on offense through two weeks. Stafford has been doing a fantastic John ElwayPeyton Manning impression to start the year off, too.

Defensively, cornerbacks Darius Slay and Nevin Lawson, along with safeties Glover Quin and Miles Killebrew, have been a ball-hawking bunch. The front seven has generated pressure, with both Ziggy Ansah and Anthony Zettel doing damage off of the edge. We’ve been stout against the run, too.

Our kicker and kick return man have been taking turns being special teams player of the week.
