6. Left tackle

It looks like it’ll be Greg Robinson starting at left tackle for the Lions. However there are a number of other candidates such as free agent signee Cyrus Kouandjio and UDFA Storm Norton that join him in filling in for the injured Taylor Decker. How well do they protect Stafford’s blind side?

7. Teez Tabor

There have been plenty of reports of how this year’s second round draft pick is struggling in camp. Get a clue. Rookie cornerbacks always struggle. Remember how Darius Slay got yanked from games because he kept getting burned? He is doing just fine now.

I want to see if the recent reports that indicate Tabor is improving and adjusting translate into success on game day. I also want to see for myself if there is hope of him taking meaningful regular season snaps from cornerback Nevin Lawson.

8. Jarrad Davis

Detroit’s number one draft pick, linebacker Jarrad Davis, has had nothing but stellar reviews from virtually everybody covering the Lions from the first practices in the spring until now. He appears professional, decisive, aware, fast. Everything that you would want from your middle linebacker, which is, by the way, absolutely not the easiest place to start as a rookie.
