The rest of the picks

At pick 205, round six, Quinn took Jeremiah Ledbetter, who is taking rep’s with our first unit during camp. Most people believe that is only due to injuries and lack of depth at defensive tackle, which we addressed in the second round. Quinn concluded our sixth round with Brad Kaaya, quarterback who has looked good at backup quarterback, and Pat O’Connor, defensive end, in the seventh round.

Thankfully, running back has not persisted as a problem spot in camp. Ameer Abdullah has looked great and there’s good competition behind him.

Conclusion

The Lions took some good players who have looked pretty good in camp, thus far. Much like the Lions themselves, we love them because they are ours. Some of this 2017 draft class may end up being all-time great Lions players. We don’t know, yet.

What we do know is that we have some issues at camp, which have been exposed by putting on pads. If we knew in April what we know now, we may have done things differently. Hopefully, the defensive and offensive lines get healthy and we find capable starters among the players already there.
