Let’s get it straight, JPP is not a bad egg. By all accounts he’s been a good teammate and an upstanding citizen from all that I’ve heard. The issue is that he might not be the brightest guy in the world. As we all know by now, JPP blew off a decent portion of his right hand on the 4th of July.

This mistake has likely cost the two-time Pro Bowler his spot on the Giants roster. It’s also likely hindered his chances of getting the mega contract he would have got before this all happened. JPP only played half of the season so there wasn’t much to show as far as the impact this injury had on his game. The Lions should not be the team to find out what that impact is. Even if he did presumably give every interested team a reason for a discount.
