Just Not Their Year

This may be the worst group to finish the season in. Not good enough to compete for a playoff spot and not bad enough to compete for the top draft pick. At least most of these teams are young and have a decent core in place to build around.

(6-8). Previous: . Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 19. team. 48. The Bucs are a young team with a rookie quarterback and a shot at an 8-8 record. Things could be worse for fans in Tampa.

20. team. 16. Rex Ryan has had quite a season. After settling on Tyrod Tayor at quarterback, it was the Bills’ defense and injuries that often held the team back.. (6-8). Previous: . Buffalo Bills

28. Just like Tampa Bay, the Raiders are young, have a young quarterback, and a shot at 8-8. The future looks brighter than it has in a decade for Oakland.. (6-8). Previous: . Oakland Raiders. 21. team

51. If only the Rams had a quarterback. They have a great young defense, a young offensive line and a star running back. They need a quarterback and receiver to really compete.. (6-8). Previous: . St. Louis Rams. 22. team

Miami Dolphins. 23. team. 59. I wonder if the Dolphins painted themselves into a corner by backing up the Brinks truck for Ndamukong Suh. If they can find the right coach, they may be able to make more with less going forward.. (5-9). Previous:

The Bears will be a lot better next year with another year in the John Fox system and with top pick Kevin White on the field.. (5-9). Previous: . Chicago Bears. 24. team. 57

Will the Lions make the right choice when it comes to hiring their new GM and head coach?. (5-9). Previous: . Detroit Lions. 25. team. 50

15. The Saints have to decide if Sean Payton stays or goes. If he stays, they’ve got to figure out the defense. If he goes, the Saints can probably get used to finishing at the bottom of the NFC South.. (5-9). Previous: . New Orleans Saints. 26. team
