If somebody would have asked me about this game a month ago, I would have said the Eagles would have destroyed the lowly Lions. Now things are looking different. The Eagles are coming into a game with a back up quarterback against a Lions defense that’s found themselves as of late with big performances against Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr. Then there’s this.
The Eagles 16th ranked pass defense has allowed 762 yards and 10 touchdowns in their last three games. That has to get you excited about Matthew Stafford and the Lions may be able to do to this team that had hard time stopping Weedan, Tannehill and Winston in their last three games.
The Lions at home should be able to get the job done for their third straight Thanksgiving day win and third straight regular season win. The Lions also have a chance to break another streak on Thursday as they have not won consecutive games in weeks 10,11 and 12 since 1970.
