The Detroit Lions exorcised more demons than the Spanish Inquisition and Salem Witch trails combined with Sunday’s 18-16 win over Green Bay. It was the Lions first road win against the Packers since 1991, and it came in as improbably of a situation as any Hollywood script writer could possibly concoct.
With the nail-biting win, the Lions improve to 2-7. Green Bay falls to 6-3, with those three losses all in a row.
It was not a pretty game for either team. After 24 years of losses, an ugly win is perfectly acceptable for Lions fans.
