The ageless wonder has finally reached the age in which his career takes a turn for the end. Mathis has quickly gone from a reliable option to a turnstile in the Lions secondary. consistently grading out poorly on Pro Football Focus every week, it should come as no surprise that Mathis finds himself on this list.
This vine says more about Mathis in 2015 than I could ever write about him today. It’s clear that Mathis’s playing days are just about over. Don’t be surprised to see him take on a coaching role somewhere after his retirement as Mathis truly is a leader and a great mentor for the young guys.
